The Boys' Brigade

Welcome to the 8th Carrick BB e-zine.

 

The BB has been going 3 weeks now and we have enrolled 124 boys into the company. That you for your understanding as we work through the problems of registering online. If you have not already paid can you do so as soon as possible. Thank You.
 

ALL SECTIONS

Annual Enrolment Service

Our annual enrolment service will be held on Sunday 16th October 2011 at 6pm. All officers and boys are required to attend in full uniform and should be at church at 5-40pm.

The collection will be donated to the work of the BB overseas and the Church Building Fund.

Parents please note full uniform is as follows:-

Anchors

Anchor Boys will wear a red Boys' Brigade sweatshirt, a blue Boys' Brigade polo shirt and plain dark trousers or shorts and footwear as deemed appropriate by the relevant officer and the arm band for achievement and service badges will be worn on the right arm.

Parents please be aware that we might wear Polo shirts into the Church for our enrolment.

Juniors

Junior boys will wear a royal blue Boys' Brigade sweatshirt, a blue Boys' Brigade polo shirt and plain dark trousers or shorts and footwear as deemed appropriate by the relevant officer and an arm band worn on the right arm above the elbow.

Parents please be aware that we might wear Polo shirts into the Church for our enrolment.

Company & Seniors

Company & Seniors boys will wear a navy blue Boys' Brigade shirt with Boys' Brigade tie and plain dark trousers with a black leather belt with chrome Boys' Brigade buckle and plain dark footwear. An armband worn on the right and left arms above the elbow.

Juniors

Quiz kids

Battalion heat of Quiz kids was held on friday 7th october 2011 in Ballylinney Presbyterian Church.

Nine teams took part and we were placed?

 

Camp for Juniors, Company and Seniors

Please print of Consent form from web site

Camp will be held from Friday 4th May to Monday 7th May 2012. We are requesting a donation of £80 towards the cost of camp payable as follows:-
3rd October £20
7th November £20
6th February £20
16th April £20 plus any spending Money.

We still have some places left so if your son would like to go please print off form and send in with the deposit.
 

Communication with parents

We will be using e-mail as our means to communicate with you along with text messages. Can you please ensure we have your mobile number.

 

Company Competitions

We entered the Battalion mini golf competition on Saturday 8th October at Greenacres. Ross Jamison won the competition.
