Company Section - Activities Volleyball
The battalion annual Volleyball competition was held on Thursday 10th November 2011 in the headquarters of 1st Ballylinney. Whilst only 5 teams took part, the competition was fiercely fought, with 8th Carrickfergus worthy winners, being undefeated throughout the tournament. Our team was Adam Fittis, Jonny Morgan, Christian Robinson, Jamie Cameron,Aaron Hutton and Will Aston.
It was a true BB competition, played in the right spirit, everyone trying their best. There was not one word of dissent the whole night, the word of the referee truly was final - in that respect a word of thanks must go to Ryan Spence for his calm, measured approach as our tournament referee.
We opened in prayer and the silence and respect showed during the prayer was a credit to the boys, their parents and companies.
The final standings were:-
1. 8th Carrickfergus
2. 1st Ballylinney A
3. 1st Ballyclare
4. 1st Ballylinney B
5. 1st Ralloo
A great night was had by all - a credit to the Boys' Brigade.
